I've finally read 1st Cor and i really liked it! Some verses that stood out to me were vs. 8, 9, 10, 19, 25, 28 and 31.
Verses 8-10 :
"He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
Divisions in the Church 10I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought."
Verse 19 :
For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
Verse 25 :
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."
Verse 28 :
"He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him."
Verse 31 :
Therefore, as it is written:
"Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
I liked in 8 how it basically confirms jesus will forgive your sins. its always nice to hear :) Also, vesre 19 was really interesting because of how he basically is crushing the "wise", and I loved how it closed with he who glories, let him glory the Lord.

1 Corinthians
Hey guys,
When I first got to Thailand I started a devotional or study in the book of 1 Corinthians. It has been an amazing book to go through and I was wondering if you guys wanted to go through the book with me. I was thinking as I go through each chapter one of you guys could read that chapter and then post on this blog some of your thoughts, or verses that you thought were cool.
This way you will only be in charged for a chapter each...which are very short.
I am on Chapter 1 now, and I am looking for one of you guys to step up here and read the first chapter and email me what you thought about it.
My email is long_live_canada@hotmail.com .
I miss you guysand have been praying for you.

I Need Le Help
OK, so here is the deal...
I have a friend that claims that he is a Christian. He goes to church and is even on their worship team. For a long time I've known that he isn't the first guy that comes to mind when I think of a solid Christian and there are others that agree with me. He is one that will ask me for prayer and talk seriously about God one day, and then go out and live a life that is obviously not honouring God.
It has been getting worse in the past few months, he has been doing things that even some non-Christians think is inappropriate. All of this bad stuff has become such a routine in his life and he mostly hangs out with people who encourage this. He hangs out with some Christian friends, but for the most part his bad habits seem to rub off on those friends as well.
My issue is, how do I approach him with these concerns? How do I tell him that what he is doing is wrong and that he has to take his relationship with God more seriously?
If any you guys would like to help me out with this, respond by posting something so that I can read it and consider it.
Thanx guys!
