OK, so here is the deal...
I have a friend that claims that he is a Christian. He goes to church and is even on their worship team. For a long time I've known that he isn't the first guy that comes to mind when I think of a solid Christian and there are others that agree with me. He is one that will ask me for prayer and talk seriously about God one day, and then go out and live a life that is obviously not honouring God.
It has been getting worse in the past few months, he has been doing things that even some non-Christians think is inappropriate. All of this bad stuff has become such a routine in his life and he mostly hangs out with people who encourage this. He hangs out with some Christian friends, but for the most part his bad habits seem to rub off on those friends as well.
My issue is, how do I approach him with these concerns? How do I tell him that what he is doing is wrong and that he has to take his relationship with God more seriously?
If any you guys would like to help me out with this, respond by posting something so that I can read it and consider it.

Ok you guys, welcome to OUR blog. Yeah, that's right...it's OURS. No one else can see this blog except for our small group. geeze louis jtodd you got yourself in to quite a conflict with clowns to the left of you and jokers to the right and im stuck in the middle with you. kk but just becasue talking to him might only anger him, all i can suggest is pray for him. get a group together and just start praying. and you could go to the source and talk with his friends about coming to church. influence them, and that guy might follow-ryan

I saw what Ryan posted, that that's true, praying is a good idea for this situation. But I think if the fellow you're talking about is 'Christian', goes to church, talks about God and all that... then you should bring the problems to his attention. It would be different if the guy wasn't a Christian... but since he is, I think you can come to him and tell him that he's making some mistakes and better clean up a bit... after all, that's the way to live for Jesus. So yeah.. obviously, don't force it down his throat, but let him know what you think. Then it's between him and God to work out.I hope this helped... and I hope it wasn't too late for input :S
